not being able to sleep.  that seems to be my new thing.  matty and i are buying a house...  and i am so completely consumed with thoughts and plans and decor to trash and decor to find and color swatches and light fixtures and ... and ... and.  then there's the back yard with an ancient little pond that needs to be filled in and a basement that needs to be finished and an out building that needs to be gutted.  and ... and ...  and ...
dear lord, he loves me.  just totally unexpectedly threw this in my path when i was the most discouraged.  and still continues to sing/scream over me i love you. i love you. i love you. don't you know that these plans you have are the same ones i have for you?  don't you know that these all consuming, can't sleep, can't eat, can't possibly spend enough time on thoughts are the same ones i have for you?  i love you.
and i have to stop.  like full on stop. and just be in awe.
you see, this little house just happens to be in my favorite city in texas.  that's right.  i said favorite.  (austin, you are a very close and dear runner up.  nothing could ever replace you in my heart.)  but i do admit it.  i completely have stars in my eyes when it comes to fort worth.  the cultural district, the 4 art museums that are within walking distance from our house, sundance square, the stockyards, the art deco buildings galore, the parks, the history.  i am fully convinced that on that day back in 1849, when major general worth decided he wanted to put a little camp up on the bluff by the trinity river...  in that little moment of decision, god smiled and thought of me.
this little town (that is the 16th largest city in the states, the 5th largest in texas) is now our home.  the place matt started his career, the place we will start our family, the place we get to influence through our local church (which just happens to be opening up a new fort worth location this year)...
and i'll shut up about it now.   :)
